WE HAVE EXCITING NEWS: Our June date sees the first of our extended summer opening hours until 8pm. We're also bringing you a slice of Havana as we close the evening with a vintage car display and an open-air SALSA PARTY in association with Bachata Edinburgh Community from 5-8pm (see below for more details).

Canteen is East Lothian’s only street food festival and one of the best in Scotland. Featuring a selection of the UK’s most acclaimed traders, Rogue Village create a family-friendly carnival atmosphere within the restored 18th century Archerfield Walled Garden.

There’s more than just the finger-licking food on offer with resident DJs, Four Corners, setting the soundtrack, open air cocktail bar, acres of landscaped grounds to explore, The Fairy Trail and play area for kids. We always have a few surprises thrown in from live music to breakdance battles, microbrewery tours and art areas. The perfect day trip for foodies, families or those looking for a country escape.

Our Salsa party from 5-8pm is hosted by AMI EMIRATO of Club La Vida. Ami will take you through a Salsa and Bachata taster session covering basic steps to build the atmosphere at our open-air social dance party. We will also be joined by Scotland's legendary Venezuelan Salsa DJ, FREDDIE RAMIREZ. Even if you’re not feeling brave enough to join in there’s more than enough space to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the incredible music, food and drink on offer.

Top tips: Lunchtime is our busiest time, why not consider coming a little later and avoid the queues. Most traders take cash-only payments and although there is an ATM onsite we recommend bringing cash with you.
